Spring Fling Century Ride Info

Rides
NOTE: On the day of the ride, registration/check in begins at 8:00am. The ride starts at 9:00am.

The main feature of the Spring Fling Century is the actual road ride. Ride lengths of 15, 35, 50, 70 and 100 miles are offered. All rides are on quiet country roads with minimal traffic. SAG support and rest stops with food and water will be provided. Maps of the routes will be available at the event, or you can download a map.

Costs for the road ride if prepaid by March 19, 2010: $20.00 for the 15 mile ride or $35.00 for the 35, 50, 70, and 100 mile rides. All ride prices increase by $10.00 if paid after March 19, 2010. Children under 10 ride for free with a paid adult and can get a meal and T-Shirt for $10.00. Don't delay, register today!

Note: All registration fees are a donation to the Joplin Trails Coalition. As the fees are a donation to the trails, there will be no refunds offered for any reason.

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDERS

Kids Rodeo
A free Bike Rodeo will be offered for the younger kids. A free bike helmet is available for first 25 kids that register. The Carthage Police Department will be putting ID numbers on bicycles. An adult must be present with the child at all times. The Bike Rodeo starts at approxiamtely 8:45 am, after all the participants in the road rides have departed.

Post-Ride Meal
A post-ride meal catered by Caldone's Italian Restaurant, will be served from 11:30 am to 4:00pm. The post-ride meal is free for all registered riders and is available to non-riders for $5.00 per person.

Drawing For Bike
All registered riders will automatically be entered in a drawing for a new bicycle, generously donated by Bicycle Specialists of Joplin, MO. Pictured at right is Dave with the Trek Road Bike he won at the 2008 Maple Leaf Bike Ride. Click on the picture to view it full sized.

Directions To Kellogg Lake Pavillion
Kellog Lake Pavillion is located in the northeast section of Carthage, MO at the intersection of Highway 96 and Old 66 Blvd. The GPS Coordinates for Kellogg Lake Pavillion are: N 37° 11.266'   W 94° 17.694'.
